Abaqus Research Changes for DSLS license manager Instructions

· Before starting this installation, please complete and submit the form included with your order to register your computer name with the Abaqus license manager.

· This software is managed with the Dassault Managed License service. Connection to the campus VPN service is not needed.

To be sure your computer can reach the Dassault Managed License service, which is hosted in the cloud, visit this URL and run the DSLS Eligibility Checker.

Measure your connections score needs to meet this standard to successfully obtain a license for your software from this service.

Bandwidth should be > 4 Mb/s
Latency should be < 350 ms
Packet loss should be < 5%

Previously installed Abaqus Research software must be configured to use the Abaqus Manager licensing service. This change is being implemented with the new license term beginning 7/1/2025.

Please follow these steps to reconfigure your software.

1. Use the checker tool located at https://www.3ds.com/support/cloud/managed-dsls to test the connection to the new license service to be sure your internet connection is sufficient.

2. Download and unzip the License file from your WebStore order history.

3. Copy the license folder provided in the download section of your order to the following location.

Windows : C:\ProgramData\DassaultSystemes\Licenses folder for Windows

UNIX: /var/DassaultSystemes/Licenses

4. Edit the EstablishedProductsConfig.ini with notepad or other text editor, located, SIMULIA\EstProducts\20xx\win_b64\SMA\site so it matches the following:

5. Complete and submit the Abaqus registration form. We will reply to your registration request once the license has been configured on the license manager.
